As many of you know, I don’t have a facebook, myspace, bebo, or anything like that. I did, a while ago. But they were more of a hassle than an enjoyment and I can honestly say getting rid of them was a huge weight off my shoulders. The best decision I’d made in a long time. I understand that internet trolls and social vampires are unavoidable (And no, I really don’t want someone I went to school with or any ex friends/boyfriends knowing where I went on holiday or what I had for my dinner)
I know this makes me seem like the biggest hypocrite EVER (uh hullo, blog!) But I have quite enjoyed sharing my ramblings and life in general with the readers of The Little Blog Of Horrors. I am aware I can’t control who I expose myself to. But I have had a change of heart and both myself and my boyfriend (who shares the same views as me about the whole social networking thing!) have signed up for Twitter! For me, I’m hoping it will help support my blog and get me chatting more with all you lovelies and my friends from back home who think I’m a nut job for not having facebook. And for David, it’s primarily for his youtube channel. He has a few thousand subs… but were not a competitive couple at all 😉

The only reason why I’m dedicating an actual post about this is because a handful of you bloggy ladies have been on at me for a while to get twitter, so what better than my very own public service announcement to get the word oot! Haha. And while I’m at it, I thought I would give y’all a list of where else you can reach me on the world wide web:
aydenmillar@yahoo.com (work/professional enquiries)
stussy_scout@hotmail.com (for a chin wag)
So feel free to drop me an email, gander at my film/tv/theatre work, ask me a nosy question, listen to my daft scottish accent on youtube, AND teach me how to use twitter/come follow me? 🙂
And to round up this post, I’d be interested to hear what your views are on social networking via the internet, and how it has became such an integral part of our generation. How did everyone survive without it?
Ayden x

I like Twitter although I don't really tweet as much as a lot of people haha! I have Facebook but I never write statuses or go on it a lot anymore as I just find it boring. I only like it so I can share photos and see all the awful ones of myself 😉 I'm following you on Twitter now too 🙂

Okay, this is so me. I don't do facebook, or any of the social networking sorts of sites. I really don't want everyone one in the world, especially weirdos from highschool, knowing everything about me. At least with a blog I get more lost in the internet world, and I can gage what I tell about myself. And I can block any weird comments. I don't do twitter, but I do like the idea of it more. Have fun tweeting!

I shall follow you! 🙂 Just found your cute blog today, love it. I have to admit, I've always kind of hated social networking. Once you start, making updates becomes a bit of an obligation. YET…I work full time in web marketing and using twitter and facebook and all the rest is now a requirement.
I'll be back to read more! 🙂

Yaaaay twitter 🙂
November 24, 2010 at 12:08 amI actually hate Facebook. I have a difficult relationship with it and don't really like what it does and how it makes people act at all. I have it, but I barely log in these days. I have very few friends on facebook in comparison with my 'real life' friends who have hundreds. I can't get my head around the concept of being friends on facebook with someone you never said a word to at school, or you've met once. I find the whole thing weird.

Hi Ayden! Nice to catch up with another weegie blogger and chees for dropping by. My feet were inked by an old school pal, Kaye, who owns her own shop, Minerva in Barrhead. The rest of my tattoos were done by Steven Wrigley of Irezumi on Dowanhill Street. My next appt with Steven is on 17th Dec for a Japanese style peacock the whole way down my back from shoulder to hip – biggest one yet – ouch!!

I'm glad you joined the bandwagon and got a twitter! 😀
All the social networking sites I'm signed up for are twitter and facebook. All others, are just like or exactly like those two haha

I tweet because I wanted to keep my facebook more private so my twitter is where my followers can find out more about what I am doing. I have done one v-blog so far. might do more. I can understand why you deleted the social networks though. I hate it when people who were evil to you in school try and add you! I just think 'ehhhh….. no!'.
Had a peek at your youtube videos, didn't think for some reason that your accent was like that. i knew it would be, but its cool! I love that accent out of all the scottish ones!
