Next Christmas blogger challenge – Papa

Getting bored of this yet girlies? :p Normal blogging will resume when this feature is finished, in the meantime, thank you for baring with me 🙂

On the 4th day of Christmas, Next.co.uk gave to me…

Presents for the Papa’s (or Grandpa’s, Grandad’s? Mines is a Papa)

Jack Daniel’s Cufflinks – £13

Jack Daniels & Cufflinks = A cool ass, cowboy-esque grandpa? I think it’s a pretty good combination! Love seeing my papa at christmas, all handsome in a really nice shirt and tie with fancy cufflinks 🙂 So sweet to see that little twinkle in my grans eye too, aww.

Car Boot Organiser – £13
(Includes 3 separate compartments and side pockets for multi use. Folds flat for easy storage)

Ok, so the gadgets are a fave for the Dad’s AND Papa’s. Mind you, whenever I need a problem solving, my papa always has something to help me fix it, and a SPECIAL tool that gets the job done super fast. He loves all that JML and QVC gadgety stuff. Cheesefest! So this boot organiser would be good for him to keep all his ‘man things’ in. (Michael McIntyre “man drawer” joke, anyone?)

The Times Touchscreen Crossword – £25

Perhaps a bit too electronic for a Papa who doesn’t know how to text yet (my gran has TOTALLY beat him in that technology department!) So this may be a little out of his league – But I still think it is a great idea for any crossword lovers out there.

So last night my second night in the hotel. Unexpected, but luckily I had bought supplies and a change of clothes (two tshirts rather than just one, fate?) yesterday morning. Thanks for the kind words on my last post girlies ♥ and for your support on twitter too. My dad got home at around 2am, after setting off from edinburgh at 11.30am that day (normally a 1.5 hour journey) Mental.

Last night I was in a kingsize bed and felt so tiny curled up in it. Was feeling a little bit home sick to be honest. Public transport in and out of Glasgow City Centre has been severely disrupted, but I’m hoping by tonight the trains will be back on again because I really want to get home to my boy for a cuddle. I slipped on ice yesterday down a set of stairs. It was sore and very embarassing (probably looked funny to watch mind you!) and my phone was about to run out of battery, and I had no clue how/if I was going to be getting home. So I cried, phoned david, cried some more, got THE LAST universal charger from Curry’s and composed myself swiftly. Us girls are completely mental at times! Especially when its ‘that time’. Do you not just want to cry at everything? I haven’t been able to watch hollyoaks at all recently without bawling my eyes out! Davids like AYDEN ITS NOT A REAL FUNERAL?!! I knoooow… *sniff sniff* I’m looking forward to being back in my own bed, and opening those advent calendar doors which I’ve missed these past couple of days. That’s all for now folks, see you again tomorrow ♥

You're stuck in the city centre? Aww doll, that's shit. I stayed at home yesterday but made it in to work today – it's now 1.30pm and they're actually thinking of letting us go now so that we don't get stuck again.

Steven will be tattooing a peacock all the way down the right hand side of my back at my next appt. Hopefully the outline will only take 3 hours max – that's about all I can handle. I did 4.5 hours on my feet and that wasn't pretty.

Hope you get home to your boy tonight! xx

Oh Hollyoaks has been destroying me on a regular basis. I cried pretty much all the way through Steph's funeral thingy. What a mess. Although I do bawl at the RSPCA advert, where the dogs talk?! Ruined everytime.

Anyhoo! Stucks on being stuck again, and double boo on the slipping part.
    Nicely organised though. 🙂

Hope you get home tonight, as I hope my card will have arrived.

    xx

    Oh Ayden, you poor thing.

I totally blubbed at Corrie yesterday so it's not just you, promise.

You have done so much better than I would have done. I wouldn't even have a clue about what to do, but you seem really sorted and level-headed. Don't worry about crying once in a while, it's our perogative!

Ay querida, still stuck, that's terrible. Here's hoping things start to resemble normality again soon. In the meantime- I feel treating yourself to something ridiculously chocolat-y is in order!

Omg hope you're ok and didn't hurt yourself too badly!! If I did that I would have probably played dead out of embarrassment! It all sounds really stressful 🙁 but at least you brought extra clothes and you got the last charger in Currys. You obviously must have a guardian angel?! Or maybe I've been watching too much Charmed. That's so cute that you call your Grandad, Papa! x

Aww dude, the weather is shit isn't it, so sorry you fell over, hope you're ok, I fell down the stairs earlier in the year and it bloody well hurt. So falling on ice, ouch. I totally know what you mean, although I cry often at random things, like the news, or if I feel ill. I really cried yesterday, feeling a bit of a failure at the minute as Dale is doing so we etc, fee like I'm letting him down, and am the shit half to his half, if you get what I mean. Really hope you get to go home to your boy tonight.

As for the gifts, my gramps is so techy!! He can fix laptops and we bought him an ipad for his 70th, he has an iphone etc. I bet he'd appreciate something like a boot tidy lol. We always get him whisky or aftershave. Which he has till the next Christmas hahaha. xxxxx

By the way, I know what you mean, I too really really dont like to be unliked, and start analysing what I could have done wrong! How silly.

Aw Ayden I feel for you! I hate when all you want is a cuddle and you can't get one :(! I didn't even know you could buy universal chargers, duh, I'd be such a failure in mini emmergencies!

I think my dad would quite enjoy that car boot organiser – he does love his car!

Sorry you got stuck and homesick, and sorry you slipped too, that is not good at all. Someone told me at work today that there was a lorry driver that got stuck on the motorway in Glasgow for 48 hours! Not good. Glad your Daddy is home safe.
I know what you mean about being emotionally erratic. Sometimes you just need to get it out though, when there's something upsetting me it only takes something little to set me off and then I've got it out of my system. It's a good feeling in a way.
Hope you get home safe and enjoy your own bed tonight.
