Anyways, I finally got to go to my long awaited cupcake class during the week, at Cupcake Glasgow. We were greeted with a glass of champagneโฆ which then led to two or three โ which is TOTALLY my justification for going a bit mental with the decorations haha ๐ Enjoy!
What do you think about โexperienceโ presents like this? I am starting to enjoy/want for them much more nowadays, than vouchers for clothes or makeup etc when it comes to my birthday or christmas. The spa day from David was another good example, and next weekend Iโm taking him surfing for the day complete with lessons and kit ๐ Which was his Valentines gift from me.
I better head off and get ready now (there is no milk in the fridge for this morning for a cup of tea, sad start to the day folks) but just to let you know, thank you for your good luck messages on the last post. I found out towards the end of the week that I got the job ๐ and will be embarking on my second ever โproperโ Art Director role, on a prime time BBC tv show, come May! โฅ So pretty safe to say I greeted the weekend with a spring in my step. Have a great one whatever youโre upto ๐
Ayden x

The cupcake class looks so fun! Love your bright and colourful cakes. I really like experience presents – as I've got older there are less "things" that I want and I'd probably enjoy something like this a lot more. I did a sushi-making class last year which was great. Congratulations on getting the job ๐ x

Experience vouchers are much better than store vouchers or whatever, I do think its a little more of a personal choice, and I always think its better to be doing something in person than spending money on things you'd probably buy for yourself anyway *shrug* Me and my boyfriend are just going out for an evening and day for my birthday, sweet! ๐
Oh, and the cupcakes look delish, you definitely went crazy with the decorations. Crazy in style, pahaha!xx

The cupcakes look amazing and your pics have made me want to take up something like this but I'm not sure there's anything in the area! I think giving them as gifts shows that you've put a lot of time and effort into them!

What a great class! I want to do a stain glass class, would love to make glass for my kids (when I have them) bedrooms so the light can filter through and twinkle. And would love to do a thai cooking course, to wow Andy with my skills.

April 16, 2011 at 2:27 pmSophie (Little Mittens.)
Aww that looks so fun!I always wanted to get edible glitter but I know I wouldn't be able to resist the temptation to put it on everything – mmm sparkly mash potato! I think gifts like that are really nice, my friend got me vouchers for a ceramic painting cafe for christmas that I haven't had time to use yet, I'm reeeally looking forward to it x

Oh, wow! That cupcake class looks like it was bundles of fun, and as intense as your cupcakes are, I really do love how you decorated them. Sometimes it's good to have crazy things go on sugary treats, haha!

Ayden, they are AMAZING. Seriously amazing looking cakes. I;d love to decorate mine properly, but sooooo cack handed!
I've never had an "experience" type present or day, but because I haven't known where I'm going to be living from one 6 months to the next for a couple of years being given "stuff" is a nightmare. And with mine and The Guy's birthdays being really close together, I think we'd both rather enjoy doing something or something together even if it's just dinner somewhere we wouldn't usually go.
Can't wait to see more cupcakes!
April 18, 2011 at 10:47 amA Thrifty Mrs
