Something girlie for the best friend ♥ (sorry if your bestie is a boy!)
Makebelieve Discovery Kit – £15
Contains 3 x 30ml tubes of makebelieve’s best selling products: Gradual Self Tan, Self Tan Lotion and Night Time facial self tan.
I don’t really wear fake tan much anymore, but when I did, I was determined to try as many as I could to find the perfect one. I don’t think I ever did (if it smelled good, it was streaky, and if it went on evenly it lasted about a day) But Make Believe was always that one I saw in boots which I never tried – because of the price tag. The packaging is so pretty, and I’d be interested to see if it’s tanning standards are just as nice! This little discovery kit gives you 30ml of their top three products – certainly enough to keep your bestie tanned up over the christmas holidays and into the new year! They say pale is the new tan, but there is no doubt at all that we all feel a bit healthier with a little glow on our skin 🙂
Lipsy White Slippers – £12
I thought Lipsy were only makers of dresses and party wear! But apparently not, these slippers looks super cosy and girlie, and a bit less ‘frumpy’ than a lot of others I’ve seen on the high street. Who said more traditional presents can’t still be cute? 🙂
Chocolate Tartan Bag – £25
Next.co.uk seriously have such an awesome range of bags. My eyes lit up when I saw this one (again, just want it for myself) We’ve already seen the mega mulberry alexa copy I suggested to buy for mum, and I think this tan, quilt and tartan mix would be perfect for any bag loving best friend!
Hope you are all having a nice weekend so far, whether you are working, chilling, or attempting to do your christmas shopping! The snow has finally thawed in glasgow (thank goodness) and tonight I am going to my old uni (The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama) to see their annual panto. This year, it is Pinocchio!

After three years of working on these productions, it will be weird for me to sit in the audience (nostalgia ahoy) but I’m really looking forward to it. However, a show which I did work on a couple of months back as I’m sure you all know, is Beauty and the Beast…

This one is at the Citizens Theatre, and every year is always a slightly darker tale than your normal christmas panto. I can’t believe the start of my tree roots/vines here, grew into a massive structure which creepily engulfs the whole front of the stage. Working with my super talented friends Gary and Christine, I had to leave early to go onto my next job so I haven’t seen the completely finished stage – so I really can’t wait to get my tickets.
Two questions for you, what are you buying for your best friend this year? (or maybe you have a group of close friends who do secret santa?) and are you going to see any festive shows or pantos this year?
Ayden x
(Thank you for all your clicks and support so far my dears, really hope I am in the running for a prize! www.next.co.uk)

My best friend is a guy. We used to work together on bar work and we both have a major sweet tooth so he's got a 2.5L jar filled with his favourites from thesweetjar.com
I really miss the theatre, hope you have a fab time.

Again, great ideas! I am always so interested when you write about your set work, I studied drama as my first degree and have a soft spot for the technical aspects :-). Your pictures also make me miss working in a theatre, still gives me a great sense of belonging when I go in one! Also, I LOVE b+b! I have asked for it for christmas 🙂
As for my besties, hmmm i always struggle, one of them loves peanut butter so have got them a peanut butter recipe book! What about you?

I love the panto at the Citizens! I've only been once but I loved it! Quite like the one at the Tron too, I love something a bit different! I don't have tickets for any this year, but I might try go to the PACE one. [I was in the chorus a few years ago ;)! My only semi claim to (z-list) fame!!)]
Haha anway! Hope you have fun. I can imagine the shows at the RSAMD to be incredible!
Also, I really like that bag! I worry about myself going Christmas shopping because I'll probably get jealous and buy things for myself!

awww thank you for the comment sweetie, you are so nice 🙂 always put a smile on my face. Me and my mates are going out 🙂 We all are short of cash and we thought we would go out and do something and see one another in stead. I would much rather the time with them over a pressie this year, as we don't get much went with me looking after my son and them all working crazy hours. I saw one the other night but we like it when all five of us are together (so no ones left out).
I love your gift ideas, the bag's in Next are so lush !!! I had a look a while ago and had to drag myself out the shop 🙂
I want to take my son to a panto, but he is too little at the moment 🙁 Oh I hope you enjoy going to see yours and what did you do when you were working on them? Sorry just always cool to here about working on something so cool. I have also been a fan of them, they are a great classic thing for kids and adults. xxxx

Not going to see a Panto but am going to see a show in NY and a Ballet of Sleeping Beauty in Bristol in Feb 😀
I'm either getting my bff something small and stupid or just giving her some free perfume I got haha she is too poor to give so she hates receiving (as dodgy as this sentence sounds) xx
