On the 2nd day of Christmas, Next.co.uk gave to me…
Ideas to please the Dads! (always a tough one, ever though they insist they’re not fussy. Mm hmm!)
Top Gear Thermal Mug – £12
My dad drives a long journey to work every day. And always likes to take a cuppa on the road with him. Oh, and he also thinks that HE is the Stig. Aye right! Perfect present tho.
Tartan Close Back Slipper – £14
Haha c’mon, its gotta be done! If you’re going to get your dad slippers this year, then best to make them cool ones, like these little tartan numbers.
Grooming Kit – £28
(Grooming kit includes: cuticle scissors, tri-shape nail file, bottle opener, plastic toothbrush, 2 way nail scrapers, nail clipper, precision tweezers, toe nail clipper, electric nose trimmer, razor, 2 pc razor blades)
Is your dad a bit like mine, and likes to think he’s a bit of a smooth operator? (*sings*smoooooth operatorrr!) Then this male grooming kit should make him happy. Easy on the nose trimmer tho, eh dad!
These were my favourite picks for day 2. Dads can be a hard one to please, and mines always ends up with socks, boxers, gadgets and other random pieces of technology. Do you think they get fed up of it? I bet they love it really! Thank you so much for your supportive words on the last posts me dears. Remember you can help me be in the running to win a blogger prize from Next, if you’re gonna go on their site please do it through my links ♥
(Oh yeah, and me and David got our very first christmas tree at the weekend. If you follow me on twitter you may have already seen this cheese lovin’ picture already…)
Another thing, I was initially worried about doing a brand affiliated post like this. I actually thought I would experience some ‘hate’, or you guys would think I was cheeky for asking you to help me be in the running for a blogger prize. Blogging should NOT make us paranoid, or afraid to be honest and speak the truth – but neither should it turn us into crazy, power hungry biatches! Gem’s latest post ‘Speak your mind, even if your voice shakes’ really addressed issues that have been worrying me lately, and I’m sure you will be able to relate to them to. So please go read it, that girl is fooking amazing ♥

I really hope you haven't received "hate mail" type comments etc, I love your gift guide and I love Little Blog of Horrors so why shouldn't people want to help you out whilst enjoying a little helping hand with the Christmas Shopping! Can't wait to see who else you can help me box off.

I love male grooming kits! I get fancy male toiletries for my boy all the time. I also hope you haven't been receiving hate comments. There's way too much of that going around 🙁

You made me laugh what you said about Dads getting the same presents every year; without fail for several years I always used to buy my Dad something from Next's men's gift section (digital tyre pressure gauge, passport holder, business card holder, luggage scales, LED book light… my Dad has them all!) along with socks and boxers. My Mum takes care of buying my Dad a pair of nose hair trimmers almost every Christmas but he never gets the hint! I reckon they do secretly love it (not the nose hair trimmers).

Loving this idea, didn't read it yesterday as it was on my dashboard then the boy came to visit, so got weigh leighed…is that how you spell it?? I think this is a great idea, and I always shop at next, so now I can see what they have without the hussle and bussle of teh Bulldoser ring. Loving the stig mug, might get Dale one. Thanks for my Christmas card, thanks for being my friend, thanks for making me smile, for having an amazing blog, and mainly for having a sexy ass boyfriend that I can perve on without you knowing……shit. *runs away* xxxxxxxxxxxx

These are great posts you're doing and what better person to do them because you'd always put in the effort to find gifts people would genuinely like instead of doing a half assed "buy this" post! 🙂 I'm hoping one of these 12 days is purchasing for youself hehehe! I will click away onto the Next site through your posts!
December 6, 2010 at 6:05 pmYour card came in the post today. Thanks so much, Paperchase never disappoint! Yours will be on its way very soon! 🙂 x
