Oh, I am so silly I forgot to mention something else to y’all. I was approached by the lovely people at CSN Stores again to do a little collaboration. They have 6 awesome uk websites that sell everything from bakeware, to wardrobes, to teapots, and cute lighting. Basically, a complete dream for me to sift through in my transition of becoming a ‘domestic goddess’ and making my little house a proper home 🙂
So, last time we did a giveaway but this time I am going to select a product to review! But I need your help 🙁 As you all know I’m on a bit of a health kick right now (amongst the cupcake and crisps munching… yes) and I feel like I could be doing something else alongside my fitness classes each week. I am the biggest snacker you will ever meet, and I was thinking I could maybe buy a Blender from the site to make up smoothies and such? I’ve heard people talk about Green Monsters, and similar healthy mixes/drinks to go alongside keeping fit. But in reality, how healthy are smoothies full of (natural) sugars? How hard are they to make?
This is the wee cutie I’ve had my eye on. Do you think I should go for it? Would you gals appreciate a review on a blender like this and how to make yummy/healthy treats? I’m thinking this would be awesome if my gran would share her secret homemade chicken soup recipie with me… But she’s keeping it close to her chest, damn it! Let me know what you think, if if you see anything else on the CSN Stores site you’d like to see me do a review on. It’s my first time doing anything like this, so be kind 😉 x

Well I may not be the coolest of your readers ;), but I would love to see how the blender works. I have actually been dying to get a good blender for smoothies as well. You can get your vitamins first thing in the morning.

Definitely go for it; smoothies can be so easy to make! When I first got my blender I went crazy, literally blending every fruit in sight. Get the blender then coax that secret recipe from your gran then share it with us hehe! x

I have a smoothie blender and I love it. It's good for whizzing up cake mixture when you get a lazy wrist too! I love buying frozen fruit like frozen berries and whizzing them up with milk and jam – very yum! Go for it!xxx

I always fantasise that I would be one of those domestic types who makes smoothies and blends things….I have a coffee machine from a couple of years ago that I used about….3 times maybe? My middle class Nigellaesque aspirations clearly gone to pot I'm afraid.
October 21, 2010 at 11:38 pmSmoothies do seem like a good way to get your 5 a day…but as a blender, since we live in Scotland, I'd say use it for delicious soup. Lots of warm toasty blended soups. A carrot and coriander…..a broccli and stilton…nomnomnom.
I wish I had the money/time/confidence to go to the gym. I continue to love my workout dvds….for now though I'm going through a rocky horror phase (I blame Glee….fucking Glee) and while the flatmates away I'm free to dance around like an utter twat all I like. It's bloody brilliant.
By the by I'm at Glasgow Caledonian, third year. Convinced myself I was going to be dead good and do all my readings every week and make extremley detailed notes, which…didn't go to plan, but I'm still pretty much on top of things which is all you can ask for. I too am terrified how quickly this year has went, it's 3 weeks till ITCOW…and Uni will be finished in less than 8 weeks for the Winter. Gadz….thinking about it makes me a little bit dizzy.
Oh you're such a sweetheart…may have to take you up on that offer. Wish I could offer free tickets to ITCOW…but pretty sure the ladies at Women's Aid would start a witch hunt. Hope to see you there though. I'm too excited…and a bit palette fromn L'oreal arrives tomorrow! Woo! x
