My MAC Haul and Makeover

Today was the day that I went into Mac for my hour long makeover, and to spend the voucher that my boyfriend so kindly got me for christmas 🙂 I know some people have had bad experiences at Mac, but to be honest I’ve had a bad experience in at least every store I’ve been into at some point in my lifetime… people have off days I suppose. But I do understand how important customer service is, so I was quite pleased by how friendly and attentive my makeup artist was. We had a good chat throughout the whole thing, she told me how she got into makeup and that she actually used to be an interior designer. But the company went bust and she managed to get a job at Mac three years ago with no previous experience whatsoever.

Apparently, as long as youre a dedicated and creative person (with obviously a decent idea of what looks good and what doesnt when it comes to makeup) then thats the kind of thing they look for. Mac give you all the training you need on the job. I told her what I did, and that I’d be looking for a job once I come back from Europe but I was trying not to think about it just now. Can you believe that by the end of it she was trying to persuade me to apply for a job at Mac? It made me chuckle so much! There are like a million people on blogger who I would say should work for a makeup company like Mac, before I would even consider myself haha. Anyways, she was a lovely lady… and after a few more hours of shopping my makeup looked like this when I got home:

I took these with the camera on my phone because its flash isnt as harsh as my big camera.

See the marks my glasses have left on my nose? 🙁

These pictures were taken about 4 hours after I’d had it done, so not as fresh as I would hope (shiny forehead alert) But you get the general idea!
Now this is what I bought from what was used:

Mineral Skin Finish in By Candlelight
Powder Blush in Dame
Plush Lash Mascara in Plushblack
Glaze Lipstick in Hue
263 angled brush
The makeup artist also used studio sculpt foundation, an eyebrow pencil, eyeliner pencil, fluidline in blacktrack, and 3 different eyeshadows. All to which I cant remember the shades/names, purely because I am rubbish and didn’t want to get too attached to anything I wasnt actually buying 😉 So there ya go. Good experience all in all, and we shall see how I get on with my new goodies ♥ I’m no makeup junkie, but my my, Mac never fails to impress!

Gorgeous! I love the eye makeup – something I always struggle with is making my eyes stand out when I have my glasses on, but they've really done that here.

On another note, I just love your hair! It's so thick and shiny. 😀

SO cute! I'm glad you had a good time – getting your makeup done is usually fun (and for me, always looks better when someone else does it). The green on your eyes looks great. Think you'll be very happy with what you bought. Be careful – its an addicting habit.

You have Hue lipstick! Lucky girl! I want it so bad!
To me its like a mix between Myth and Angel! Although Ive never actually seen Hue in person, because there are no Pro stores near me! GRRR.

    You look stunning x
