baby you’re a firework

Work, work, and more work… is the reason why you’ve not been hearing much from me recently on the old blogosphere!

Here’s the roots I’ve started on, all carved out of massive polystyrene blocks. Lots still to be done with them yet. I’ve been leaving the house every morning at 8am, and not getting home until 7pm. With seeing my friends, going to my fitness classes, and spending some quality time with the mister – I’ve hardly had any time to blog or comment on all you lovely ladies posts 🙁 Sowwy! Normal service shall resume shortly, once I’ve got a grip of being a busy bee again.

Last week flew in, and on friday night it was press evening for A Clockwork Orange at work (The Citz) We were having a wee cast and crew get together after the show… so leave it to the design department to decorate one of the workshops accordingly 😉

A press shot for the show. You can read more, buy tickets, see more pictures and watch the trailer here. I haven’t seen the film or read the book, but I was really impressed with the show 🙂

On saturday night I went out for dinner and then for some drinks with the lovely Jenn for her 22nd birthday! I took Davids camera with me, because mines is faaar too big to even contemplate taking on a night out. So this would have been the point where I shared a few pictures with you of us ladies having a fun time and me wearing my new River Island dress, but I can’t find Davids camera cable 🙁 Lets admit it, I really am just quite rubbish eh? As soon as I find it I will post some pics.

On sunday my papa ran me home (with my little bro and sis aaron and tyler in tow! they were desparate to see Millie again) and me and David watched the Xfactor, where my favourite girl crush was performing 😀

Talking about Miss Perry (or Brand, to be?!) Katrina has bought me a ticket for her gig next year (and vice versa) for christmas 🙂 Thank you so much katrina! I used to go to gigs all the time but I feel like nowadays I really don’t anymore. I got Jenn tickets for her birthday to see these nice fellas…

Jimmy Eat World 🙂 A pretty old school fave if im honest! So looking forward to seeing them play too. What was the last gig you went to?

After leaving the mister on friday and saturday night, we cuddled up on sunday after the xfactor with a couple of new dvds and some sweet munchies from marks and sparks. Mmmm! It’s gonna be another busy week so I’m writing lots of lists and trying to keep organised 🙂 Did any of you miss out on the Mac Venomous Villians range? I’m going to be selling a few of the sold out pieces on my ebay soon, including briar rose beauty powder, bite of an apple blush, toxic tale lippie, strange potion and wicked ways lipglass. So keep your eyes peeled for that 🙂 And I predict a little 400 followers giveaway is on the cards soon too. Nearly there dudes, thank you so much!

Thank you for your nice comments on my last post, it is super nice to know that I’m a little bit missed when I run away for a while! 🙂 Life has just taken over and I really have felt a bit deflated/uninspired at times… so sorry if this isnt the most exciting of posts. I’m working on staying positive and getting my mojo back, amongst the madness… promise.

How is life treating you right now?

Ayden x

The set is looking great, hard work paying off. Can you come and make some of those roots for my halloween front door? Think they'd scare the kids.

Your job looks so fun! What happens to the set pieces when a show finishes? I'm guessing the more unusual ones can't be used again?
Katy Perry's figure is too amazing for words! x

Wow…that set looks about 12 different types of fantastic….I've never been to the citz before but feel kind of inspired to give it a shot. (Partially because I'm trying to convince the boy to go see A Clockwork Orange…but now..well, seeing the work that goes in to it and all makes me want to go a bit more.)

Ayden! I cannot believe it was you who was reponsible for this BEAUTIFUL and spellbinding set! I was at the Glasgow Restaurant Awards filming and was really blown away by it – the way the bed at the front seems to be getting gobbled up (i feel so weird writing gobble??!!) by the roots – totally magical. So many restauranty schmoozers were all commenting on the gorgeous set so mega well done. Just having a week look back at your blog, I totally love how youve been so open and personal about your life. I'd really like to start doing that but v nervous. Anway, was lovely to meet you last night and grats again on the stunning set 🙂 xx
