Come and rest your bones with me.

Hello all. So wednesday has been a productive little day for me. My appetite is next to nothing, but I did have room for several cups of tea and another (small…ish) cadburys easter egg. Eaten slowly over the course of the day mind you, Im not a total pig! Haha, I am, I know I am. So once I’ve written this post Im going to go make stirfry for dinner, get wee Jan up and running and repair some clothes from my wardrobe, and finally watch Ponyo On The Cliff By The Sea. I missed it when it was at the cinema, sad times indeed. Holding onto my easter holidays for dear life! Dont want them to end πŸ™ Heres a wee run down of what I did today.

Got up at 10am! Hello πŸ™‚ this is me, obviously.
Fed and watered Milky Joe. She misses Lola πŸ™ Went to the post office to send off some stuff that I’ve sold, then took a trip to asda to discover that they only do certain size prints in glossy paper. Im trying to keep my portfolio as β€œall together” as possible, so in the car and off to Jessops I went! Of course I had to wait 25 mins for the photos, so where did I go?
Mac! Today was operation foundation. Since banning my fake tan and becoming all peely wally and natural, my estee lauder double wear light foundation (which is only intensity 2.0) has became far too dark for me. Almost, ORANGE πŸ™ Gasp. Powder just wasnt concealing the fact that I was wearing a foundation that is now too dark for me, so I went to House Of Frasers and fluttered between Chanel, Bobbi Brown, and eventually Mac. For some reason, I just didnt want to buy a Mac foundation. My gut told me no, but the prices of the foundations at Chanel and Bobbi Brown also told me NO! And to be honest, out of all the ones I tested, Mac was the best and the cheapest of the bunch. I will invest Β£30 on Chanel Lumiere one day when I am actually working full time and can afford it, but for my budget just now it really didnt wow me enough. And of course, I have been eyeing up the Liberty Of London collection online for some time now, so I tested a gorgeous lipstick called Ever Hip and left with that too. Oh, and a pump for the foundation. Necessary? What kind of foundation do you use? I was pretty worried when I was wandering around Frasers today, foundation stresses me out a bit, I still dont know if I made the right choice.
Being off uni makes me greatful for being able to wear nice clothes. Normally I am in steel toe boots, hoodies and ripped jeans from my painty wardrobe. I just realised I havent shared any of my buys recently, and since I am too lazy to take pictures of them all I have made a little collage πŸ™‚ Here is what I got from ASOS (notice that stripes are a reaccuring theme here?)
And here is what I got from New Look, H! By Henry Holland, Warehouse and Heidi Seeker.
I know it looks like a load of stuff, but believe it or not I am on a budget and I didnt actually spend that much! Most of it was bought with my Jimmy Carr wages haha πŸ™‚ And my blog sale is still on, so have a peek below and see if there is anything that takes your fancy!
I also spent some time last night and today working on my portfolio. Come degree show time, I will have a booth with my fully completed portfolio, cv’s, business cards, laptop with website on show and a couple of paintings that I have done. Maybe some costume stuff too. The more work I get prepared just now, the less stressed I will be on the run up to graduation. 3 months to go, my goodness.

Ahhhh I haven't seen the Liberty Of London in real life yet, i'm trying to avoid it as I know I will want something from it, the packaging is soooo cute!

The foundation dilema- I feel your doubt. I am always always in two minds about purchasing/re-purchasing. Sometimes I wish there was a just a magic cupboard that presented me with a brand new foundation every time I ran out, it sure would cut out all the stress!

Good luck with your portfolio πŸ™‚

Let me know what the Mac lippie is like, I'm really swaying towards buying one. Money is an issue however…maybe I could steal one?

Love all those clothes you've bought. I'm into my stripes at the moment.
