Why I love my boyfriend’s clothes

Reviewing my messy wardrobe for this summers ‘holiday attire’ made me realise exactly why I love boys clothes so much. Its pretty fair to say that especially in high street shops like New Look, Primark, and Topshop, girls always have the bigger and better selection (Think about how many floors theer are for us ladies in Oxford Streets Topshop VS the boys measly one floor at the top!) However I am a greedy fashion fiend who often puts comfort before what looks good, and boys clothes are always so fuss free and therefore extremely cosy 🙂 My addiction has went on past just wearing Davids clothes – now when we go shopping I tend to look at the guys bit for him AND me 🙂 Especially when theres a good ol’ sale on. Let me share with you some great wee finds I’ve stumbled accross recently…

New Look tee (concession brand of some sort) £18 reduced to £12
Apart from being a cute and quirky design, this tee also looks awesome on! Size small but still oversized on me so I teamed it up with a dark grey bodycon skirt, black leggings and little plimsoles.

 Another New Look tee, £12 reduced to £3 me thinks. Again, oversized but so comfy! Wore this with my acid wash denim jeggings, grey hoody and h&m 80’s style trainers.

Please excuse my crap memory, but this shirt (also New Look) was reduced from full price… maybe £20 something? to £7. I love big shirts like this, and I’ve worn my denim ones over dresses so much recently so this checked beauty will give them a bit of a break.

Heres some older buys that always save me on a shit outfit days 🙂 From left to right. First up is boys primark hoodies! I have one in grey, black and navy. They are going to shrink over time as the quality aint great but I’ve been wearing them more recently than my beloved cardigans. In the middle is my Topman micky mouse sweatshirt! And on the right is my H&M Elmo jumper that David got me for christmas. Long enough to be worn with leggings, loves it.

Another best boy buy has got to be my Nike Hi Dunks. I do look a bit manly with them on, they make me feet look huge but I do enjoy them muchly.

My lovely boyfriend David is certainly the way I would dress if I was a boy. I’m not just saying that, I mean genuinely since the very first time I met him I have loved every outfit he’s worn. Cute shirts, tshirts, skinny jeans, fred perry plimsoles. See, he’s a male version of me! 🙂

One thing though, I’m definately more than a grubber than he is. But I’ll need to watch my sweet tooth if I still want to be able to fit into (coughSTEALcough) his clothes 😉 Bit of a random topic but hope you still enjoy! Do you have any strange clothing habits or rituals? Haha please put me out of my misery and tell me I’m not alone in this home comfort. I know the lovely Gem from Gemfatale did a similar post a while back about finding awesome clothes in the boys AND kids dept! Good times if you ask me 🙂 ♥
